The Paavo Nurmi Games – Innovative Health Technology for Athletes

Cutting edge Finnish health and safety technology will be presented out at The Paavo Nurmi Games on Monday the 7th and Tuesday the 8th of June. The games are hosted by the city of Turku, in Finland.

Paavo Nurmi Games organizers, working in conjunction with new partner Vetrospace Ltd, want to minimize the risk of infection among athletes and guarantee a safe sporting atmosphere. PNG (Paavo Nurmi Games), are the first organization in the world to provide virus-free clean spaces for athletes.

Paavo Nurmi Games and Vetrospace have put together a long-term cooperation agreement that will continue until the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024. Paavo Nurmi ran five Olympic golds in Paris in 1924, and 2024 will a great year of celebration for the Paavo Nurmi Games events. ‘’This is a great honor, to be involved in developing athlete safety,’’ says Vetrospace CEO Jouko Urpolahti.

For their part, Vetrospace are focused on developing and delivering safer events, and the agreement with PNG comes with unique possibilities. PNG wants to be exemplary and at the forefront of developments, and this works perfectly with Vetrospace’s values, adds Jouko Urpolahti.

The Paavo Nurmi Games are a part of the World Athletics (WA) Continental Tour Gold series. The event is televised in Finland in addition to 130 countries on all continents.
