How Cognitive Air™ manages air quality in office pods
Cognitive Air™ brings together three technologies that automatically adapt, filter and direct air as the office pod is used.
IT ADAPTS.
Adaptive CO₂ Control
There are no ventilation settings for users to manage. The office pod monitors conditions and adjusts ventilation automatically, because air quality can deteriorate before occupants consciously notice the change.
Sensors measure CO₂ levels both inside and outside the pod. This dual-point measurement helps the system adapt ventilation according to actual occupancy and the CO₂ level in the surrounding air.
If the CO₂ level outside the pod is already elevated, the system can avoid increasing ventilation unnecessarily when doing so would offer little improvement. This helps balance conditions inside the pod with energy consumption.

Incoming air is filtered before it enters the office pod, helping reduce dust and larger airborne particles while also protecting the ventilation system.
For environments with higher air-cleanliness requirements, filtration can be upgraded with HEPA H13.

Patent-pending Ambient Vectoring™
Effective office pod ventilation isn’t only about how much air is moved. It’s also about where that air goes.
Ambient Vectoring™ directs discharged air away from the pod and into the surrounding space, where it can mix more effectively with the room air.
This helps reduce the risk of exhausted air being drawn directly back into the acoustic pod and allows the ventilation system to work effectively without simply relying on higher fan speeds.

In an open office, exhaled CO₂ disperses into a large volume of air. Inside a compact office pod, CO₂ levels can rise faster. Because CO₂ is invisible and odourless, changing conditions may go unnoticed until concentration begins to fade or the space starts to feel uncomfortable.
Research has linked elevated CO₂ levels and poorer indoor air quality with weaker performance in cognitively demanding tasks. In a Harvard-led study, declining air quality was associated with reductions in cognitive performance of up to 50%.
